Wow. It's been over 10 years and guess what... social media is boring and dead. The Net has been taken over by corpos and the world is getting crazier by the day. So I would say now's the perfect time to return to this old thing, amirite?
I might post some older stuff to archive on here for fun but also I'd like to just talk about things I've been enjoying! Maybe I don't vibe with the constraints of Twitter-style microblogging anymore. I have more to say than just a couple 140-character posts, nahmean?
Speaking of things I want to say...
Before the Gnosia anime dropped, I was mainly interested in the Remnan/Raqio dynamic. And I'm still there in the stands supporting those two freaks but I was not ready to get blindsided by Sha-Ming.
I always liked Sha-Ming and thought he was super sexy but the anime added another dimension to him. Watching him slink around the ship like a cat, actually hearing him say "UNDERSTAND? HEY! COME ON! REALLY?" did something to me. Is Sha-Ming a kind of disgusting loser? Yes. Do I find that appealing? Also yes. I love a man who is fully aware of how pathetic he is!
Anyways, the main character of the anime is a boy named Yuri. I really like him and think he's adorable. And I'm obsessed with his relationship(?) with Sha-Ming. I mean yeah, due to the nature of the plot, Yuri and Sha-Ming's relationship resets in every timeline and sometimes Sha-Ming isn't even IN the timeline BUT!!!
When Yuri wakes up as a girl in episode 10 can I just say? I LOST MY MIND!!! I did not expect the anime to tackle the various romantic events in the game by having Yuri switch genders depending on the loop. Huh. I FREAKIN' LOVE IT!!!!!! It kind of makes me think of the deleted event where a male player can change his gender for Sha-Ming(???)... Surely this is a callback to that, right? RIGHT?
This moment where they blink and look at each other when they wake up... *screeching* *crawling darkly* *shaking* *crying* *crawling darkly* *shouting* *crawling* *writhing* *twisting*
All this to say... the anime has completely sold me on Sha-Ming/Yuri. I am IN. Look, I love Setsu too but Sha-Ming/Yuri is my personal endgame. I don't even necessarily need more scenes between these two, just seeing them stand next to each other brings me a kind of joy. They're so cute? It's sick. Every time I see official art of them, my delusions are fueled further and I feel so happy...
I love them. I love... Them...
